Kekar Monying

The Kekar Monying is a mountain cliff near Rottung in East Siang. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area and is of great historical importance to the state of Arunachal Pradesh as it was here that in 1911 a confrontation against the British was led by the Adis. There is also a black stone memorial on the cliff, which is dedicated to the Assistant Political Officer of the British, Noel Williamson who was killed by Matmur Jamoh, a native of Yagrung Village. The cliff about 500m long and 50 meters high and it offer quite a beautiful view of the surroundings.
